Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to all the most commonly asked questions

Who can play at your club?

We are a competitive club, open to all players of a reasonable standard. We have members ranging from 16 - 70+ in age with a good group of both male and female players. If you are passionate about badminton (or plan to be) then we look forward to meeting you.

When and Where?

We play every Thursday 8pm - 10pm between September and end of July (We take August off). We play at the Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys Sports Hall, this is located behind Fusion Sport Centre, next to the 3G pitches.

I haven't played in a while and am a bit rusty, is this the right group for me?

We are an open and inviting club that covers most levels, whilst we do not cater to beginners we have a range of player skills ranging from local club level right up to county level players. Why not drop us a message and come along for a trial session. We don't bite....

I am completely new to badminton and want to learn are you right for me?

Sorry we are not a club that is able to cater to complete beginners however do email us as we have connections to other clubs that are more suited to new players and can help teach and hone your skills before joining us.

Who can play in the League?

We currently enter multiple teams in the Tunbridge Wells Badminton League and across all skill levels from Elite Premier level right through to 4's handicapped teams (suited to new players, recent to the sport who are just getting used to playing competitively).

How much does it cost?

We are FREE for your first taster session, then £10 a session for the next 2. Annual membership of £175 for the year (pro rata and minus any money paid for sessions). This covers the full 11 months of playing from season start in September through to end of July and includes your Badminton England Membership (Works out to circa £4.50 a session).
